Under the direction of Coach Kelley, Gloucester has made itself known as a competitor in the Peninsula District. Gloucester started the 2016 season 2-0 for the first time in over 19 years. The offense holds the most points scored in a single season both 2015 and 2016 seasons since 2000. In 2015 the Dukes posted the most points scored in a single game since 1977 vs Jamestown where the Dukes won 51-20. 2016 saw the Dukes defense allow the fewest amount of points since 2006. Over 30 players have received All Conference Honors, along with 2 All Region Players, and Offensive Player of the Year since taking over in 2013. 11 other players have played in post season All-Star Games. Coach Kelley coached 8 players to all district honors as an assistant coach and is no stranger to helping turn programs around. He has also coached in 3 all star games as an assistant coach, and one as a head coach in Myrtle Beach, SC (2013).
